Horse Racing Alberta is #RacingToHelp the Fort McMurray Equine Community!
Horse Racing Alberta has offered to collect cash and horse care/tack donations at the Learning Centre at Northlands Park.
Donations
The Alberta Equestrian Federation has taken on the role of receiving funds, coordinating drop sites for items and will be ensuring that all funds and items received goes directly to horse owners that have been affected by the Fires in Fort McMurray and area. Horse Racing Alberta is happy to be #RacingToHelp!
Donation of Funds
Cash donations can be made at the HRA Learning Centre (located across the street from the Stable Gate at Northlands Park) Monday – Friday: Noon to 4pm.
Donation of Items
Items will be required in the weeks and months to come. The below list contains items that horses and other livestock will need in order to make it through summer. Items should be new to avoid the spread of disease.
Water buckets and/or Feed tubs
Halters and leads
Fly spray, Fly sheets
Vet wrap, Gauze, Telfa pads
Topical ointments (polysporin, dermagel, and furazone), Wound cleaning (betadine and chlorhexidine)
