  1. MINISTER CECI:

As the Minister responsible for horse racing will the NDP government be frugal and reduce the compensation of the CHAIRMAN when filing this vacancy and upcoming CEO vacancy to reflect the 20% reduction in provincial grants as the racing industry battles these tough economic times.

HRA’S last 3 year business plans showed all sources provincial parimutuel betting to be S200 million/year when in reality it was only $120 million. The embellishment of this forecast only proves that sound financial management starts at the top. As Minister responsible please ensure that competent management is put in place compensated accordingly.
