  1. HBPA assisting the operator CENTURY to push overpriced group packages with no profits coming to backstretch foundation, other than small % from betting vouchers takeout seems to achieve a small reward to horsemen.

Canadian Racing Accountability Partners through their extensive network of backstretch banter sources, establish a cost of $800 for each backstretch barbecue covered by donations. Perhaps a surplus could be be derived from the operator giving a small % of food and beverage profits.

  2. HBPA finally announces a marketing package to promote racing. Silent Mike has arisen. An industry insider informs me that he is working hard to navigate the responsibilities involved with his position.

The cost of packages per individuals appears excessive, The days of NP dollar hotdogs and free programs are only a lost memory. Cost analysis versus expenses and revenue cast aspersions on the ability to sell packages.

NO mention of any profit proceeds going to HBPA backstretch foundation.

NO mention of any profit proceeds going to UCP membership cards, to support the future of horse racing and awareness.
