And go figure this one. The first and second-place finishers of the Wood Memorial, Albus and Right to Party, went off at 173-1 and 317-1. Not only is that unheard of for the one-two finishers of a major 100-point Derby prep, it’s the same three numbers in a different order. If they both happen to draw the post of 1, 3, or 7, every numerologist in the country is going to box them in the trifecta with whichever horse that draws the remaining number. Crazy year indeed.

And to take Haskin’s numerology a tad farther: 173 and 317 are both prime numbers as are the digits: 1, 3, 7, the sum of the digits 1, 3, 7 – 11 and any 2 digit number made from their digits: 13, 17, 31, 37, 71 and 73. Kinda gives a new meaning to Brisnet’s Prime Power figures.
