BC HBPA CLAIMING CHAMPIONSHIP
SEPTEMBER 16 & 17, 2017
$420,000 OFFERED IN TOTAL PURSES
The HBPA Claiming Championship Days
- 16 races to be run on September 16th and 17th, 2017.
- 4 claiming levels–$4,000, $8,000, $16,000, $25,000.
- A sprint and a route at each claiming level for three-and-up colts and geldings and fillies and mares.
- $25,000 purses for the 4, 8 and $16,000 claiming levels–$30,000 purses for the $25,000 level.
- Trophies, blankets and gift baskets to the winners.
- All races will be run as claiming races.
- Horses must have started twice in 2017 at or below the claiming price they wish to compete at on Championship Day. At least one of those 2017 qualifying starts must have been at Hastings.
- Preference will be determined by lifetime purse earnings at time of entry.
- Races with 5 or more entries will go.
- All horses will carry 120 pounds.
- Claimed horses do not need to re-establish eligibility.
- The HBPA Claiming Championship Days replace the Championship Series.
