Bloodhorse – Gunnevera Impresses in Return; Woodward Next
In a picture book world Phil would be reporting Dialed In’s Gunnerva as the winner of the GI Woodward at Saratoga and the Phil would be touting the 2 yearlings by Dialed in in the 2018 CTHS Alberta Sale. However, in the no picture book world Phil has to tell you that Gunnerva did not win the GI Woodward but did finish a very credible second overcoming a bit of bumping and being forced about 11 wide on the turn.
Now you can tell yourself that there is no shame in finishing second in a GI stake at Saratoga so Phil will continue to tout the 2 yearlings by Dialed in in the 2018 CTHS Alberta Sale.
There are two Dialed In yearlings available at the 2018 CTHS Alberta Sale, one on the same cross as Gunnerva:
Dialed In A Beautiful Dream – True Nicks
Dialed In Char’s Still Here – TrueNicks
TDN – Thoroughbred Sire Lists
Thoroughbred Racing Commentary – Willoughby – Why Dubawi looks set to take over as world number one
Now you may ask yourself why would Phil put an article about Dubawi in his Alberta Sales Preview.
Now you can tell yourself that Phil knows a little bit more about thoroughbred sires than the average American sire du jour breeders who continue to suffer broken ankles from jumping off and on the sire du jour bandwagon and Phil’s always been partial to the Northern Dancer and Mr. Prospector lines. There aren’t many sons of Mr. Prospector left, and one of the few still breeding is Cape Canaveral who stands at Highfield Stock Farm in Alberta.
Now you can tell yourself that you can still purchase a grandson of Mr. Prospector and son of Cape Canaveral at the 2018 CTHS Alberta Sale:
Cape Canaveral:
Filly, 24 Filly, 49 Filly, 57 Filly, 61 Filly, 65 Filly, 96 Gelding, 20 Gelding, 32 Gelding, 40 Gelding, 85 Gelding, 90 Gelding, 94 Gelding, 112
Miss Technicality recorded the largest winning margin of Kentucky Downs’ opening day while taking the Exacta Systems Juvenile Fillies Stakes by six lengths over Lightscameraaction. The Gio Ponti filly was content to lay back in eighth in the early going while City Diva, Lightscameraaction and Two Shakes contended for the lead. The latter one faded in the turn, and Miss Technicality made a sustained run to easily clear the field.
