Phil has a question:
If thoroughbred racing is looking to improve marketing how about the paddock walkers and grooms wearing silks rather than them pinny numbers that flap around in the wind.
After the dust and mud settled on the Wood, Blue Grass and the Derby on the west coast we’re left with more many more question than answers.
Every favourite got beat. Speed did not hold. Stars were born and stars flared out. How many Irishman were in the Wood winners circle. Five or more horses with sufficient qualifying points have humongous questions to be answered after their lacklustre performances in their last race over the past weekends. Watch the works. What will Mattress Mack do. Jockeys have tough decisions to make following the over and under achievements of their mounts.
Will any trainer take a shot at final qualifying points in the Lexington.

Saturday April 9, 2022 was to have been Jason Kenney’s day of reckoning in Red Deer. But in a typically self-centred desperate selfish move Kenney cancelled the Red Deer meeting that would have been welcome relief to the Covid starved Red Deer hospitality industry and set up a mail in vote that he hopes to be able to manipulate to keep himself in power despite his putrid 30% acceptance rating.
Part of his plan was a letter of support from a number of past MLAs many of whom are still swilling at the government trough and most collecting outrageously exorbitant pensions.
If we had a party in Alberta that was truly fiscally conservative they would trim the size of the government by about 20 useless MLAS and stop the cronies double dipping while collecting those outrageous pensions and trim those outrageous pensions.
Have you ever seen anything more disingenuous than Jason Kenney trying to be like a farm boy by driving around in a blue truck. Kenney’s a lot more hat than he is horse.
The Calgary Sun’s Rick Bell does not think much of the letter signatories:
This is like watching an old-timers game where the people on the field think they’re still in the big leagues.
It is a bit sad.
Why?
For starters, what we see is very thin gruel.

Or is Deshaun too arrogant to think that any of the rules apply to him.
Or did Deshaun misinterpret the Silence of the Lambs.
