March is a month without mercy for rabid basketball fans. There is no such thing as a ‘gentleman gambler’ when the Big Dance rolls around. All sheep will be fleeced, all fools will be punished severely… There are no Rules when the deal goes down in the final weeks of March. Even your good friends will turn into monsters.

Phil has a question:
Is Paul Reddam’s brain infested with maggots or MAGATs.
Why would Reddam name a horse that he paid $192k for Low Expectations and a home bred out of Mrazek, named for a hockey player, Barely Functional.
Did Reddam give us the answer – I Don’t Get It.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

“Man, I even love the old subway sandwiches they used to serve at the old Pacific Coliseum,” said Bublé, who grew up a Vancouver Canucks fan. “It’s the yellow jerseys that the Canucks or the L.A. In this country we are a peace loving people, and great tasks lie before us in the peaceful development of our resources. We have no lasting quarrel with the German people, who have great qualities and whose achievements in every important sphere of human progress are conspicuous, although they are temporarily misled by the militarism of Prussia; but we will fight to the death against the vain attempt of an arrogant militarist oligarchy to impose upon the world its ideals of force and violence and to achieve its unworthy purpose by “blood and iron”.

Phil has a question:
Why is AGLC in Alberta monitoring instead of acting.
Why does AGLC and the UCP government in Alberta continue to allow millions of $$ to leave the province on grey area gambling sites without one fucking nickel heading into the Alberta coffers.
Why doesn’t every VLT parlour in have a betting machine where you can place wagers on the horses and on sporting events.
Why is Phil saying this instead of useless fish-eyed fools like Clark Kent.
Why is Alberta so far behind on gambling revenues.
Why do all the right wing fanatics who manipulate Danielle Smith and the UCP not want any control for guns, but want to control Albertans gambling like a bunch of fish-eyed fool ninnie nannies.
Thanks Mucka and Topo.

Repole added, “I knew it was going to be a big test for him. I didn’t mind him having the 11 post. I thought he got an incredible education. I, too, at the eighth pole was saying, we’re going to get second or third, and he just kept going and going and going. It was pretty special.”

While watching the races from Oaklawn on Saturday Phil was reminded of one of his pet peeves.
Phil is sick and fucking tired of the useless fucking wailers who treat the National Anthems like fucking funeral dirges.
Over my lifetime, heavy usage has woefully eroded profanity’s power.
Lionel Shriver
The Star Spangled Banner
The lyrics to the first line are:
O_ say can you see.
Not
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooou seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Too many pieces of music finish too long after the end.
Igor Stravinsky
Roger knew that the fans came to the venues for the games and he belted out the anthems with class and speed.
US Canada National Anthems
USSR Canada National Anthems
Roger did take some liberty with the lyrics and delved into his book for a couple of tweaks. Roger new that when you added some emphasis and a little drag to free and brave they stood out and were remembered.
Over my lifetime, heavy usage has woefully eroded profanity’s power.
Lionel Shriver
Phil has a solution and MLB is already using it. Bring in the anthem clock. On 8 Notes The Star Spangled banner clocks in at 59 seconds. Set the anthem clock at 102.9 seconds and when it hits zero the singer is out of there. Pretty soon the fans would catch the drift and start the countdown.
Over my lifetime, heavy usage has woefully eroded profanity’s power.
Lionel Shriver

CLARK KENT JR aka hra CFO, reply that their expense accounts from last July would be updated before he undergoes shoulder operation?? It is rumoured that it is from sharpening pencils or working Tenile’s budget abacus not from golfing. Strange 16 expense entries from Jan to July, and approval of Clark’s $876 Phoenix flight for December but none since, for 20 jr HRA executives !
ONTARIO HBPA signs only a 2 yr not usual 4yr with Lawson woodbine. Major issues such as a revenue, horse populations and reduction in race days lead to moving meet back one week. The remark from Copland of negotiating with another thoroughbred group, such as harness change in 2009 is worth noting.
TRACY woes should be resolved by mid June, as a double positive from Louisiana downs from Jan 5/6 just got resolved, better than tribunal a year.
Clark Kent next state of the union address boosting of 830 stall apps from 2022 with only 591 different runners should hopefully not add in assigned tack rooms. Century Mile year end filing did show 200k for track drainage and 200k for barn/track repairs x 1.30 or 520k Canadian. Century Downs showed 200k for new carpet and 200k for gaming tables, with operator takeout from 15% to 17% starting April 1, for casino upgrades, meaning 2ply toilet paper.
