If one or more of the horses you select is scratched before post time, the post time favourite will be substituted for any scratched horse unless you have already chosen the post time favourite or more than one of your choices is scratched, then second favourite will be substituted, unless you have already chosen the second favourite or more than one of your choices is scratched then the third favourite will be substituted, unless you have already chosen the third favourite or more than one of your choices is scratched then the fourth favorite will be substituted and so on. Sal feels like the old lady who swallowed the fly and he wanders why.

Include your choices in order of finish, your $1 Superfecta guess, your T-shirt size (Sal has L, XL, XXL), your song that most aptly describes how the Kentucky Derby will be won in this Baffertless year (not necessarily how your horse will win as in past years), Sal respects wit and irony and Sal’s a pretty simple guy and will reward accordingly,  your stage name and mailing address.

All entries must be received by Saturday May 7, 2022, 2:59:59 PM MDT.

Limit of 4 entries per e-mail address and 6 e-mail addresses per person; no restrictions on any employment or familial ties.

Sal says that he was planning on entering again this year and will, but Sal will not be playing for a prize. Last year Sal had Medina Spirit winning in one of his entries and Mandaloun winning in another.

Sal says he was wandering if this could be the year that Steve Asmussen or Brad Cox could win their first Kentucky Derby then Sal remembered Cox backing into his first.

Sal says that study is the essential quality for this years handicapping since there’s 116,280 different combinations in a 20 horse field.

Phil was going to use David Grohl’s The Storyteller for 1st prize, but in Sal’s opinion Grohl pulls so many punches he would have hit air rather than Rock so Sal called for a changeup.
