Sal says that when leafing through Phil’s dog-eared archives and making like Matlock Sal suspected that Phil would have wanted Sal to post a preview of the soon to be upon us Breeders’ Cup.
When Sal was leafing through Phil’s dog-eared archives Sal was wandering how Phil got through the months of October and November with all the haunting, warping, harrowing, roasting, skewing, carving and superlative thoroughbred racing.
Thumbing through Phil’s dog-eared archives Sal noticed that Phil’s favourite holidays featured roasting turkeys and carving up pumpkins.
Sal says he’s not back in the saddle again, but will sometimes suddenly surface and periodically post some salient comments and stories.
One 0f Sal’s sources said he heard Edmonton sports commentator Brian Hall speaking about the horses and Northlands Park on the radio on Friday AM. Sal dutifully went to the 630 CHED archives and listened to 38 minutes of chatter until Hall came on.
